Your Mission

The objective of the Customer Care Representative is to interact with customers in order to facilitate them doing business with our company – e.g. by translating contracts into bookings, answering questions, resolving support issues and by nurturing relationships. Customer Care works in the Simply Deliver platform as central internal platform. An Online booking tool will be used to provide (self-) service in an automated, digital way as much as possible. Next to this, Customer Care is responsible to create a lock-in and loyalty effect by providing state-of-the-art service recovery solutions in case of irregularities and by implementing a voice-of-the-customer program incl. feed-back loops into the organization.

The Customer Care Representative will be the face of the company and is an important link in the logistics chain. From the request till the arrival at the customer, s(he) will ensure a good flow and tuning between commercial and operations. The Customer Care Representative will ensure that information flows smoothly and keep track of everything administratively.

Your tasks

1. Satisfying customers – For our customers, you will actually be our company. Once they have placed their order, you will monitor our internal processes and adapt them to suit the customer.

2. You will coordinate specific transport services for different customers, which may be based both nationally and internationally. You will be able to manage capacity (filling level) and to adjust or draw up plans in consultation with the customer.

3. Producing consignment notes – You will take charge of the administrative task of drawing up consignment notes. You will help come up with digitization ideas for every step in the process.

4. Problem-solving ability – You will be able to put out fires if necessary. Need to find a solution to get your transport moving? You will easily get to the bottom of the issue so that this works out fine.

5. Reporting – You will monitor the quality of our service to the customer by means of standardized reports.

6. Working in various systems – You will manage to switch smoothly between the various systems, understanding exactly what each system does.

7. Link between the commercial and the operational – You will adapt the information that you receive to suit the various departments between Lineas and the joint venture

8. Optimizing processes – You will not be satisfied with simply following processes mindlessly. Do you think that things could be better? Quicker? Easier? If so, you will consult your colleagues and customers and look for concrete improvements.

9. Planning of open trains – You will take care of planning the open trains.

Your profile

10. As a Customer Care Representative your main focus will be on customer service. You have a hands-on mentality and are able to set priorities if necessary.
11. You can deal with a changing environment, as we are growing quickly.
12. You are a multitasker and someone who really values efficiency;
13. You believe in pulling your sleeves up and learning things. This means that you are also organised;
14. You have the necessary power of persuasion, you are proactive and you can work both alone and within a team;
15. You have a preferably a bachelors degree and approximately 5 years of relevant experience.
16. You are fluent both in Dutch en English.

18. You will receive a full-time and unlimited contract with a monthly salary starting at €3360 (depending on your experience) including your 13th month.
