What you’ll do As a Development Expert, you’ll be the driving force behind the development of new systems with a focus on sliding and folding solutions. From ideation to market launch, you make innovation happen. Your responsibilities include: You follow-up closely the planned development projects with regard to planning, quality (technical aspects), product price, master the risks and take the necessary measures in case of problems, and this from PRD phase (product requirements definition) up to and including Launch. Translating technical challenges into effective, efficient solutions and validating them through hands-on testing and prototyping. Collaborating with suppliers to transform concepts into high‑quality final products. Ensuring that all documentation and product-related information is accurate, complete, and ready for market introduction. Working closely with senior development experts to ensure that all Reynaers systems comply with technical standards and are delivered on time. Reporting progress clearly and regularly to the Team Leader and escalating issues when necessary. Contributing to the technical product roadmap by identifying innovations, improvement opportunities, and forward-looking concepts within your Sliding & Folding expertise. Suggesting and implementing workflow and process improvements to enhance overall development efficiency. Coaching and guiding trainees as you evolve into a senior expert. Who You Are You have a strong technical background and sound knowledge of product design and manufacturing technologies involving materials such as aluminium, steel, polymers, elastomers, and rubber. Experience with sliding and/or folding systems, aluminium systems, or the construction industry is considered a strong advantage. You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Development, Science, or Architecture; a Master’s degree is a plus. You have at least 5 years of relevant technical experience. You work accurately, are cost-conscious, and maintain a high standard of quality. You are proactive, solution‑oriented, and eager to contribute to technical innovation, with other words you are a problem solver. You are a strong communicator and an effective team player. You have an excellent command of English; knowledge of Dutch and French is an asset. You possess solid skills in AutoCAD 2D, Inventor, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
