Howden Maintenance Partners is part of Chart Industries and is a growing service company within the group, specializing in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of industrial machines, both electric and mechanical rotating equipment. Think of electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, generators, steam turbines, turbo compressors, reciprocating compressors, and expanders. This work is carried out either on-site at the customer or in one of our workshops.

As LeadEngineer for our Mechanical Department, you will take ownership of daily operations,ensuringhigh-quality engineering standards and driving continuous improvement. This is a leadership role where strategic thinking meets hands-onexpertise. You will guide a talented team, set clear standards, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our engineering processes.
What Will You Do?
Leadership & Planning: Organize, plan, and supervise daily activities within the department, supported by the Service Coordinator.
Standards & Procedures: Draft and implement the "5 Golden Rules of Work" and establish robust standards and procedures across all engineering disciplines.
Hands-On Engineering: When needed, actively contribute to the engineering process through co-design and development.
Quality Assurance: Validate OPS inspection reports, confirm compliance with standards, and issue technical conclusions and repair advice where necessary.
Sales Support: Provide technical evaluations during the RFQ phase to support commercial decisions.
Operational Support: Offer technical guidance to OPS teams to ensure progress and resolve challenges.
Reporting: Deliver monthly productivity reports to the Engineering Director.
Budget Input: Contribute to the preparation of annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets with accurate technical insights.
Your Experience Should Be…
You have a passion forengineeringand a keen eye for detail.Thanks to your knowledge and experience, you actively contribute totranslating operational needs into the engineering bit.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and processes.
Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on problem-solving.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Proficient in Dutch, both spoken and written
Strong communicationskills and easily connect with team members
