Job Description Within the mechanical workshop (4 people), you will be fully involved in the production of prototype parts for research facilities designed by the internal design office (DO). These are mainly wind tunnel components and models, traverse mechanisms and other mechanical parts used for research projects. Your main tasks will be as follows: Read and interpret the technical drawings. Manufacturing mechanical parts using workshop equipment: Conventional turning and milling machines CNC machines (Maho / Hass) with the use of Mastercam Band saws, boring machines, grinders, thread cutting machines. Dimensional control of manufactured parts using measuring instrument (callipers, micrometers, dial gauges). Deburring, cleaning and checking the tappings of manufactured parts. Participation in the first assembly and, if necessary, modify the part. Work with designers and engineers to improve the manufacturability of parts Maintain machines and ensure a clean working environment. Perform administrative tasks, such as encoding operation statistics. Job requirements Technical high school diploma or equivalent through experience. Significant experience as a machine tool operator, ideally in a manufacturing environment for single parts or small series. Proficiency in conventional machining techniques and knowledge of CNC machines. Good knowledge of measurement and assembly techniques.
