The U.S. Mission in Belgium is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Financial Assistant (VAT and Accounts Payable) in the Financial Management Center. Functieomschrijving The jobholder is the Tri-Mission’s primary contact for official Value Added Tax (VAT) refunds, working closely with GSO/Procurement to obtain supporting documents to ensure proper collection by the cashier, monthly VAT logistics for C151 exempt forms (preparing invoices for GSO to create C151s) and quarterly reporting to the ministry of finance for activity exempt at point of sales. Holds a portfolio of account payable duties: ensure three-way match and move invoices in ILMS to PSU for processing payment. As a voucher examiner, the incumbent is expected to work on a variety of vendor portfolios. Serves as the alternate Designated Billing Officer (DBO) for the Tri Mission. Profiel EDUCATION&EXPERIENCE: Option A: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, auditing, or business administration two (2) years progressively responsible work in finance or administrative environment is required. Option B: Two years of University Study in any field four (4) years progressively responsible work in finance or administrative environment is required. LANGUAGE: Fluency in English.
