About Precious Metals Refining

We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new processes. Which is where you come in.
What You Will Be Doing
* Lead the full site emergency planning organisation, including crisis management and coordination with external emergency services.
* Develop, implement and maintain a robust fire prevention and fire protection strategy aligned with SEVESO legislation.
* Manage and coach the internal fire brigade (approx. 60 members) ensuring operational readiness, training, and high-quality interventions.
* Oversee the creation, execution and continuous improvement of the internal emergency plan and emergency scenarios.
* Act as process owner for Process Safety Management, including ATEX governance, explosive safety documentation (EVD) and recurrent risk analyses.
* Lead, coach and develop RA teams (leads, scribes, support) to strengthen risk management competencies across the site.
* Ensure process safety integration in design, engineering and modifications of installations, working closely with Production, Maintenance and Technology.
* Identify risks, coordinate corrective and preventive actions, conduct incident investigations and translate learnings into improvement plans.
* Engage with authorities, regulatory bodies and inspection services in the framework of SEVESO, crisis management and fire prevention compliance.
* Monitor relevant legislation and standards (fire prevention, process safety, ATEX) and translate them into site procedures and projects.
Who We Are Looking For
* Master’s degree in engineering (chemical, industrial or equivalent).
* Minimum 5 years of relevant operational experience (fire safety, process safety, crisis management). Having obtained the Level 1 Prevention Advisor Certificate is an asset.
* Strong expertise in fire protection, fire prevention and emergency response in an industrial SEVESO environment.
* In-depth knowledge of process safety, risk management methods, ATEX, hazard analysis and relevant legislation.
* Proven leadership skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, facilitating cross-functional cooperation.
* Analytical, structured and decisive mindset with strong organisation and planning abilities.
* Skilled in coaching, training and developing teams and individuals in safety competencies.
* Fluent in Dutch and English.
