We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Manager with deep expertise in IT infrastructure, specializing in servers, computers, networks, connectivity, cybersecurity, and operational software. This role will support the full portfolio of Varian hardware and software solutions, ensuring our customers receive best‑in‑class technical guidance throughout the sales cycle.


Key Responsibilities


Technical Sales & Pre‑Sales Support

* Serve as the primary technical contact for all IT infrastructure topics related to Varian products and solutions.
* Provide expert pre‑sales consultation on servers, storage, networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, and system performance requirements.
* Conduct customer assessments to evaluate infrastructure readiness for Varian deployments.
* Develop and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and solution architectures tailored to customer needs.
* Support RFP/RFI processes with accurate technical specifications.


Solution Design & Architecture

* Translate Varian hardware and software requirements into complete, scalable, and secure IT infrastructure solutions.
* Collaborate closely with customer IT teams to define architecture designs that meet operational, regulatory, and cybersecurity standards.
* Align infrastructure recommendations with best practices in redundancy, performance, high availability, backup, and disaster recovery.


Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

* Build strong relationships with IT leaders, clinical administrators, engineering teams, and procurement stakeholders.
* Act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle, contributing to strategic account plans.
* Provide ongoing consultative support to ensure customer satisfaction and long‑term adoption.


Cross‑Functional Collaboration

* Work closely with sales, product management, project managers, service engineers, and global technical teams.
* Ensure smooth handover from sales to implementation teams with clear technical documentation.
* Provide feedback to product teams regarding customer needs and market trends.


Training & Knowledge Transfer

* Deliver IT infrastructure and cybersecurity training sessions for internal teams, partners, and customers.
* Maintain deep and up‑to‑date knowledge of Varian technology ecosystem, including hardware platforms, software applications, and connectivity requirements.


Required Qualifications


Technical Expertise

* Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including:
o Servers and compute environments (HPE, Dell, Lenovo, etc.)
o Network architecture (LAN/WAN, firewalls, routing, switching)
o Virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V)
o Operating systems (Windows Server, Linux)
o Cybersecurity frameworks and operational security practices
o Storage systems, backup strategies, and disaster recovery
o Cloud architecture knowledge (desirable)
