You start with a one-month training program with comprehensive in-house courses, training days and learning on the job with colleagues. The program itself will last for a minimum of 2 years, with the aim at the end to grow into the role of a Field Engineer.What does the program look like?12 months (minimum): In your first year, you will start as anAccount Managerand get hands-on experience and a deep insight into the core of our business, our customers, products, services and software. In this rotation you will gainsoft skillsthat you will be able to leverage during your whole career at Hilti. Your sales territory (specific region) will be in eitherBelgium or Luxembourgdepending on where you live.4 months (minimum): You continue to work as Account Manager and in addition, you take on a 4-month strategic project at 20% of your time in a topic linked to engineering. You will join ourin-house Engineering departmentinAnderlecht(= Engineering Competence Center) to focus on supporting clients withanchor calculations(phase 1) and additionalinstallation & firestop calculations(phase 2). You will develop thetechnical skillsneeded to advise our customers and have a solid technical base to further grow your engineering career.Besides the technical support, you will be able to work onstrategic Digital Marketing projectslinked to engineering (steering online webinars for example) to further develop your business and soft skills.In thefinal 4monthsof the program, you will transition towards your landing position as Field Engineer by taking up aJunior Project/Field Engineering responsibilityat 40% of your time for a specific project or a specific group of customers (including specifiers). This will allow you to put in practice all of the skills you developed during the program and prepare you for your next career step.Landing position (minimum 2-3 years): after completing the program, your landing position will be as aField Engineer(based in Belgium or in Luxembourg) where you will combine bothfield-based work(customer visits, sales presentations, demos) withtechnical calculationsand expertise.
