🔎 About the Role
The European External Action Service (EEAS) is strengthening its HR Business Domain team with an experienced ERP Expert specialized in Odoo. The selected expert will contribute to the implementation, customization, and integration of an HR ERP solution tailored to EEAS needs, ensuring compliance with specific EU legislation and seamless integration within the EEAS application landscape.
📌 Main Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Business Domain Relationship Manager (BDRM) and the Odoo Senior Project Manager, the ERP Expert will:
* Act as Technical Consultant for the development of high-quality Odoo modules and integration interfaces with EEAS systems.
* Perform technical and functional analysis for Odoo ERP customizations.
* Ensure best practices in data modeling, business logic, code quality, and testing.
* Provide technical expertise in Odoo, addressing complex issues, configurations, and process flows in a highly interconnected IT environment.
* Support knowledge sharing, team mentoring, and preparation of technical documentation.
🎓 Knowledge & Competences
* Proven expertise in ERP solutions (ideally within large-scale organizations).
* Strong background in the Odoo framework (Python & JavaScript).
* Proficiency in:
* Web services: REST API, Fast API, XML-RPC, JSON-RPC
* Templating: QWeb
* Database: PostgreSQL
* Collaboration: GitHub Enterprise
* OOP, object modeling, relational databases
* Familiarity with the Odoo Community Association (OCA) ecosystem.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills.
* Strong communication skills in English (French is a plus).
* Team-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a multilingual, international environment.

* Experience in Odoo server administration (desirable)
⚙️ Work Environment & Conditions
* On-site delivery at EEAS headquarters in Brussels.
* Standard working hours: Monday–Friday, 8h/day (mandatory core hours 10–12h & 15–17h Brussels time).
* IT equipment provided by EEAS
