Welcome to the Hotel du Commerce in Houffalize, a 4-star boutique hotel located in the heart of the Ardennes. With 36 rustic rooms, our hotel offers a cozy ambiance for guests to unwind after a day of adventure. Start each day with a delicious breakfast and relax in our wellness center, equipped with a hammam, jacuzzi, and sauna.
We also provide private parking with electric car chargers and boast a beautiful garden setting along the picturesque Ourthe River. As a pet-friendly establishment, we welcome furry friends and strive to create a welcoming atmosphere for all.

Your Role
As
Head Chef
, you are the beating heart of the kitchen and a
creative partner of the owners
. You actively contribute to shaping and developing the culinary direction, translating a shared vision into dishes defined by flavor, precision, and refined presentation.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Kitchen & Culinary Creation
* Further develop the brasserie's culinary concept
together with the owners
* Create and refine a menu at an
excellent brasserie level
* Strong knowledge of
local and Ardennes cuisine
* Solid experience with
game (seasonal)
* Strong focus on the
quality of core ingredients
, perfect execution, and elegant finishing
* Guarantee consistent quality, even during high-volume service
Leadership & Teamwork
* Lead, coach, and
motivate the kitchen team
* Foster a
professional, respectful, and positive working environment
* Act as a role model in
work ethic, discipline, and collaboration
* Train and support the professional growth of team members
Management & Organisation
* Responsible for
purchasing and supplier management
* Control
food cost, stock levels, and ordering
* Ensure compliance with
hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP)
* Bring structure to mise en place, service, and kitchen planning

* Experienced
