Our customer is responsible for developing and managing digital applications that support and optimize federal government processes. This department plays a key role in the digital transformation of the federal government by implementing process-oriented solutions that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of government services. PGA has the following tasks and responsibilities:
Development of digital applications: Designing and implementing applications aimed at supporting specific government processes.
Process optimization: Analyzing and improving existing processes to streamline and modernize services.
Collaboration with other departments: Working closely with other departments and other federal services to provide integrated solutions.
Supporting policy objectives: Contributing to the realization of strategic objectives in the field of digitization and efficiency within the federal government.

Your role
Our customer has 6 teams consisting of 40 consultants, including freelancers, subcontractors, and consultants on the payroll.
We are looking for another SDM to manage two teams and to carry out the day-to-day monitoring and management of two or more teams.
Service management:
Proposing, coordinating, and managing the development of new work packages (quotes)
Day-to-day monitoring and management of ongoing projects, taking into account budget and timing, as well as determining priorities together with the Product Owner.
Monitoring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and coordinating incident management.
Monitoring and coordinating the adaptive and corrective maintenance of the delivered applications (Maintenance). Coordinating the technical department (technical upgrades to newer, more recent versions of e.g. Java, Spring, etc.) is also part of the job description.
Reporting to Management on the status of the budget, progress, planning, and timing.
Contributing directly to customer satisfaction by providing the necessary support and helping customers to develop new ideas and strategies relating to services provided to citizens, other federal government institutions, or the European Union.
Relationship management:
Act as a central point of contact for internal or external customers.
Regular consultation with stakeholders and service providers to align needs with services.
Collect feedback and translate it into concrete improvement actions.
People management of the teams working on the various projects. Ensure that your teams remain motivated and that there is a good team spirit to work towards the common end result. Detect problems, be a point of contact, and have the necessary soft skills.
Day-to-day monitoring of team members.
Coordinating collaboration with other departments (Procurement, Digital Information Services, Single Digital Gateway).
Other:
Playing a key role in the growth of the team by onboarding new people and conducting interviews and screenings. To this end, you will work closely with the recruitment officer.
Technical knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Greenshift, Docker, CI/CD, architecture (Microservices, Hexagonal Architecture) is a plus.
