What will you be doing in this role?
* Development of back-end website applications - writing clean and functional code
* Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developers with server side logic
* Implement core business logic
* Build and manage databases, APIs, and server infrastructure to support application functionality
* Understanding and implementation of security and data protection
* Cross-platform optimisation
* Design responsive applications
* Participating in the design and creation of scalable software
* Taking the lead on projects, as needed
* Maintenance of code integrity and organisation
* Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
* Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
* Write technical documentation
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this position?
* A Bachelor degree and a minimum of 13 years of experience in IT (or a Master degree and at least 9 years experience)
* Proficiency with back-end languages and frameworks such as Java, Spring boot and Hibernate.
* Excellent knowledge of J2EE
* Excellent knowledge of BPMN
* Excellent knowledge of micro services architecture.
* Familiarity with database technology such as Oracle, MongoDB.
* Experienced with standards/APIs: XSD and SOAP, JSON, JSON Schema.
* Experienced with with, Docker, Python, Bash, Elasticsearch,, GIT and JIRA.
* Good knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git.
* Good knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture.
* Good knowledge of applications design.
* Good knowledge of modelling tools.
* Knowledge of interoperability technology (e.g. web services, message-oriented middleware, serviceoriented bus).
* Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment.
* Good knowledge of agile methodology.
* A good level of the English language will be required
