Product Specialist

To support the growth of our Control Rooms Business Unit, we are looking for a Product Specialist. In this role, you support the organization as well as partners and customers by sharing expert knowledge on Barco products through training sessions, product demonstrations, and the development of sales tools that enhance conversations throughout the sales journey.
Acting as the link between Sales and Product Management/Marketing, you also gather key customer and user insights and translate them into valuable feedback for product managers.
Key responsibilities
1. Have a deep understanding of how the product works and confidently present its value proposition to sales, partners, and customers.
2. Act as the product expert, supporting both internal and external stakeholders in defining, preparing, and communicating the best technical solutions to customers.
3. Collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Product Management, and Training on the creation of training and marketing materials for internal and external use.
4. Take ownership as the technical lead and demonstrator at trade shows.
5. Support sales teams during the pre-sales phase by delivering product demonstrations and answering technical questions from partners and customers.
6. Create technical documentation and product videos highlighting key product capabilities and addressing frequently asked questions.
7. Collect insights and feedback on products and competitors from customers and partners, and translate these into actionable input for product managers.
8. Promote and advocate your products towards partners and within the broader industry.
Your profile
9. Hold a technical degree (Bachelor or Master) in a relevant field.
10. Have at least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role within a technical environment.
11. Bring a strong technical IT foundation; experience with AV, KVM-over-IP, cybersecurity, or networking is a valuable asset.
12. Enjoy presenting to an audience, are strong in interacting with people, and show a natural curiosity for new ideas.
13. Integrate AI tools into your daily workflow to enhance efficiency, insights, and customer value.
