As an Infrastructure Architect, you play a crucial role in the design and management of our IT landscape. You bring structure and consistency to the IT infrastructure, with a specific focus on the point‑of‑sale (POS) infrastructure of our distributed network. You build long‑term bridges and translate organizational strategy into efficient, sustainable, and agile technological solutions.
Responsibilities
* Architectural Design & Strategy: You define the architectural vision and establish guidelines and standards. You conduct assessments to identify current and future needs regarding technology and processes.
* Project Support: You provide methodological support to projects and validate architectural designs from the start of the process.
* Risk Management: You identify IT risks and assist the business in evaluating alternative solutions.
* Operational Excellence: You optimize internal processes and ensure the correct application of procedures to guarantee quality and timely delivery.
* Stakeholder Management: You work in close collaboration with Project Managers, IT teams, and System Engineers. You communicate proactively to advocate for architectural strategy objectives and motivate your stakeholders.
Profile
* Education & Experience: You hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering. You have 10 to 15 years of experience in architecture, software development, or IT infrastructure.
* Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud (GCP), Windows, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is essential. Experience in the retail sector and distributed networks is a major asset.
* Methodology: Mastery of TOGAF 9.x and experience with modeling tools (such as Enterprise Architect) are required.
* Languages: You are fluent in English (the working language within the IT Cloud entity). Knowledge of Dutch or French is a significant advantage.
* Attitude: You are proactive, assertive, and capable of bringing structure autonomously to a complex environment.
