Our client is an automotive company specializing in the production of hybrid transmissions. They have a robust R&D team with state-of-the-art test facilities, and comprehensive operational capabilities.
To expand their R&D team, we are looking for a Test Engineer to join the Validation team. In this role, you will be responsible for the test management of a specific part or module one of their products.
Responsibilities
* Translate specific test requests into clear test procedures and determine which test equipment is required.
* Convert test requirements into practical and feasible test plans.
* Responsible for implementing a part of the extensive product design validation program and monitor the planned milestones.
* Translate medium-term planning into efficient weekly planning and proactively address obstacles to ensure progress.
* Prepare, coordinate, and execute development tests, including (data) analysis and clear reporting of the results.
* Work closely with colleagues (e.g. Validation Engineer, Technicians, Planner, ..) to quickly resolve any bottlenecks.
* Guide efforts in accordance with ISO 17025 quality standards.
Qualifications
* Master in Automotive, Electro-Mechanical with a strong interest for automotive or equivalent by experience
* Experience in the field of automotive testing and testing facilities.
* Experience with Hybrid Powertrains and Automatic Transmission is an advantage.
* Experience in technically leading a team
* Persistence and goal-oriented
* Planning and structured approach
* Strong problem solving skills and are familiar with related methods like 8D. But more importantly, you prevent problems by applying a structured personal work method where preparation is as important as execution.
* Strong communication skills
* A fluent level of English (oral and written)
* Familiar with tools like CAN and MATLAB is an advantage
