Role Overview
As the Accounts Executive at NavGurukul, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the
organization's financial health and compliance. You will manage day-to-day financial operations,assist with budgeting and donor reporting, and uphold financial transparency and accuracy across the board.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow efficiently.
Handle petty cash and staff reimbursements.
Collaborate with HR to process monthly payroll.
Monitor budget utilization and highlight deviations.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and tax laws.
Prepare financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
Assist in audit processes and coordinate with external auditors.
File statutory financial returns and maintain necessary documentation.
Manage FCRA and 80G compliance records.
Compile financial reports for donor-funded projects.
Operational Support
Process and track vendor payments; maintain vendor relations.
Maintain an up-to-date fixed asset register.
Assist in managing grants and preparing financial reports for donors.
Provide financial data support for fundraising initiatives.
Systems Management
Maintain accounting software and financial systems.
Implement and monitor internal financial controls.
Document and regularly update SOPs for all finance functions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance.
Proficiency in Tally or other accounting software.
Familiarity with FCRA and 80G compliance is preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
