Digital Workplace Architect (Part-time, 12-Month Contract)
Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid – minimum 50% on-site)

We are supporting an institution in Brussels in the search for a Senior Digital Workplace Architect to help shape and govern a secure, scalable, and future-ready workplace ecosystem.
In this role, you will act as the strategic bridge between business needs, security requirements, and modern workplace technologies. You will contribute to the design, governance, and evolution of the digital workplace landscape, supporting both operational excellence and long-term digital transformation initiatives.
Key responsibilities
* Design secure infrastructure and application architectures aligned with enterprise security and governance standards
* Produce architecture documentation, technical designs, and reference standards
* Drive roadmap initiatives across modern workplace and cloud-first capabilities
* Provide architectural guidance for endpoints, messaging, collaboration, and cloud workplace services
* Collaborate with engineering, operations, security, and business teams to ensure stable and compliant implementations
* Support continuous improvement and innovation within the digital workplace domain
Key skills and experience
* Strong experience delivering IT infrastructure projects within digital workplace environments
* Advanced expertise across Microsoft 365: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Copilot
* Strong knowledge of Azure / Microsoft Entra ID including AVD, Windows 365, Intune, Conditional Access, Hybrid/AAD Join
* Solid understanding of endpoint security, Zero Trust, passwordless authentication
* Good grasp of networking fundamentals: VLAN, zoning, NAC, VPN, endpoints
* Experience with PowerShell automation, reporting, and infrastructure-as-code concepts
* Proven background working in high-security environments such as financial services
