Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunityWe are looking for Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineers at junior, medior, and senior levels to contribute to long-term, large‐scale railway programs.The scope of responsibilities will be adapted to your experience and offers both hands‐on technical activities and, for more senior profiles, strategic and coordination responsibilities.Your RoleAs a V&V Engineer, you will ensure that complex railway systems meet functional, performance, and safety requirements through structured verification and validation activities.Depending on your profile, you will be involved in all or part of the V&V lifecycle, from early analysis to execution and reporting.Key Responsibilities(scope adapted to experience)Analyze system and software requirements and technical documentationContribute to or define verification & validation strategiesDesign and execute test cases, test campaigns, and integration testsParticipate in the setup and usage of test environments and test benchesSupport or lead test automation activitiesProduce V&V deliverables (test plans, procedures, reports, traceability)Collaborate closely with system, software, safety, and project teamsFor experienced profiles:Propose test methodologies and continuous improvementsContribute to planning, workload estimation, and quality objectivesAct as a technical reference or mentor within the V&V scopeTechnical EnvironmentRailway signaling and control systemsETCS Level 2Interlocking and signaling principlesSystem & software V&V processesNetwork communications (TCP/IP)Test automation and scriptingEuropean railway standards and best practicesYour ProfileEngineering background or equivalent experienceInterest or experience in railway systems or safety‐critical environmentsUnderstanding of verification & validation principles xjsrcvqStructured, analytical, and quality‐oriented mindsetNice to have (depending on role):ETCS / signaling project experienceTest bench design or integration exposurePython and/or LUA for test automationFamiliarity with CENELEC standardsGerman language skills for some projectsWhat we offer you:A full time, permanent AKKODIS contract with an attractive salary package including a company car, insurances, meal vouchers, etc.A position where you can grow and develop your careerA super nice work environment & atmosphere within an international groupA nice work/life balance with hybrid working model (on site + remote)
