SCIENTIST II (H/F/D) — BioPark de Charleroi, Belgique. The Scientist is a member of the R&D Department reporting to the R&D Director. In this role you will independently design, plan, perform and coordinate next generation in vivo T cell therapies for cancer. You will be responsible for accurate data analysis, reporting of scientific results, and effective communication within the department and to external stakeholders. You will also contribute to scientific guidance of technicians and provide scientific support to other researchers.

Your Responsibilities / Vos responsabilités
* Independently design, plan, perform and coordinate research studies in line with department objectives.
* Present scientific data within the R&D department and contribute to internal and external communications, including presenting at international conferences.
* Participate actively in laboratory work and manage operational aspects.
* Provide scientific background and feedback to technicians and offer guidance to other scientists.
* Proactively propose solutions to technical challenges.
* Ensure adherence to internal data traceability, laboratory ethics, and SOPs.
Qualifications & Experience / Qualifications et expérience
* PhD in biological sciences with emphasis on immunology, biochemistry, gene therapy, cellular or molecular biology, or virology.
* Minimum 2 years post-PhD experience in a biotech/pharma company or at least 4 years postdoctoral academic experience with focus on gene therapy, in vivo cell therapy, or lentiviral vectors.
* Strong hands-on experience in molecular and cellular biology and lentiviral vectors.
* Demonstrated expertise in lentiviral vector production, including transfection and optimization of high-titer virus generation for preclinical applications.
* Hands-on experience with downstream processing of lentivirus (purification and concentration techniques such as ultracentrifugation and tangential flow filtration).
* Experience in small-scale R&D lentiviral vector production is a plus.
* Immunology expertise and experience with complex 3D cell models are advantageous.
* Experience presenting scientifically and writing project reports.
* Fluency in English, both oral and written.
