At the forefront of nuclear innovation, we seek a highly skilled individual to join our team in the Innovative Nuclear Systems (INS) Institute within the SMR-LFR project. The 'Reactor Safety' unit requires someone to conduct safety analyses and determine safety-oriented design specifications.
About the Role
This exciting opportunity involves performing safety analyses, focusing on thermohydraulic and neutronics aspects, specifically reactivity events. The successful candidate will define safety-oriented design basis requirements to enable appropriate design specifications.
The role entails collaborating with design and R&D teams to implement safety requirements and validate safety assessment tools. Additionally, the selected individual will take responsibility for assigned objectives and adapt to changes in project planning.
* Conduct in-depth safety analyses, primarily thermohydraulic and linked to neutronics, concentrating on reactivity events.
* Establish safety-oriented design basis requirements to facilitate suitable design specifications.
* Work closely with design and R&D teams to integrate safety requirements and verify safety assessment tools.
* Take charge of designated objectives and be responsive to alterations in project planning.
* Provide regular updates on progress and planning to the RSA unit lead.
