Context
To strengthen the fast-growing Global Balanced team, we are looking for a fund manager to actively contribute to the allocation decisions, security selection and portfolio construction, risk monitoring and day-to-day management of various balanced investment funds.
Your position
* Actively contribute to the portfolio construction, risk monitoring and day-to-day management of various investment funds across a wide range of asset classes.
* Develop, analyze and implement investment ideas within the investment universe in a holistic and pragmatic way.
* Prepare and actively participate in weekly investment committees.
* Stay informed and be opinionated on global financial markets and different asset classes.
* Meet with internal and external clients to review investment performances, outline the investment strategy followed & investment outlook and discuss investment solutions.
* Close collaboration and interaction with the team members and within the asset management company (macro-research, equity and fixed income portfolio managers & analysts) as well as funds sales teams, risk, reporting & RFP's officers.
Your profile
* You have about 5-10 years' relevant experience in financial markets.
* You have a Master's degree (economics or similar) – CFA would be considered a plus.
* You are passionate about finance and capital markets and have a thorough understanding of macro-economics.
* You have strong analytical and time-management skills. You are able to independently develop well documented and strong investment opinions.
* Acquainted with different investment styles (growth, value, thematic, …), financial research and committed to ESG principles.
* Experience with equity investments and expertise in stock selection would be considered a plus.
* Team player with an entrepreneurial attitude. Work in a dynamic and close-knit investment team, being able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* You demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate investment results to clients using both qualitative and quantitative insights across equity and fixed income investments.
* Solid communication and presentation skills and the capacity to express yourself in the main languages (NL/FR and ENG).
* Exhibiting a long-term commitment to excel in the function.
