We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Project Engineer (m/f/d) within our Machine Buildingteam to help support our Automotivebusiness. As a Project Engineer (m/f/d) you will perform engineering work related to researching, designing, and developing equipment using electro-mechanical products and tools to develop and commission production equipment. Your responsibilities include meeting production and quality objectives using effective technology techniques and quality materials.
Additionally, you’ll:
1. Design machines, tools and machine elements
2. Manage work project planning and project budget
3. Perform other duties within the team as requested or as deemed appropriate
4. Conform with the environmental policy and procedures and with the requirements of the environmental management system
5. Be Responsible for the development and the release of all manufacturing documents related to machine and product builds
6. Be Responsible for supporting and delivering new manufacturing technologies to improve competitiveness and project profitability
7. Ensure Engineering Change Requests (ECR) & Manufacturing Change Requests (MCR) are followed up and implemented as projected
To be successful, you’ll need:
8. To promote a people first and safety first mindset
9. A degree in mechanical, design, manufacturing or electrical engineering or equivalent work experience
10. At least 3 years of relevant work experience in an design engineering role
11. Math skills which include the practical use of algebra, trigonometry and analytical geometry
12. Experience using 2D and 3D modelling CAD drafting software (Autodesk Inventor skills required)
13. Ability to read, understand, and create engineering drawings and BOM (Bill of Materials)
14. Professional quality written, oral communication and technical writing skills
15. Ability to manage multiple projects, work schedules, and accounting budgets
16. Ability to supervise and direct others in a professional manner and maintain a high degree of accuracy in all aspects of work
17. Fluent English language skills, Dutch and/or French are a plus (Dutch is the daily team communication language)
