Ghent Marriott Hotel is looking for an experienced bartender to deliver bar and table service in our stylish lobby. You are the go-to person for guests who want to enjoy a relaxing drink in a refined setting. Are you hospitable, professional, and do you enjoy working autonomously? Then we’d love to meet you!
A behind-the-scenes look at your role
* You are the face of the lobby bar: you welcome guests with class and provide elegant service of drinks and light snacks.
* You work independently, managing both the bar and the lobby tables – from order to payment.
* You have an eye for detail, serve with finesse, and respond smoothly to guests’ needs.
* You collaborate closely with colleagues from the front desk and restaurant to ensure a seamless guest experience.
* You keep the bar and lobby area tidy and inviting, even during busy periods.
* You report any concerns or complaints and actively contribute to a calm, professional atmosphere in the lobby.
Who are we looking for?
* You have relevant experience as a bartender or in a similar role. Independence and refinement are a must.
* You are looking for a full-time (38h) or part-time position.
* You are flexibly available: willing to work between 10 and 6, including weekends and public holidays.
* You are a good communicator and speak fluent Dutch or English (additional languages are a plus).
* You enjoy stylish service and contribute to the elegance our hotel is known for.

* On foot or by bike: close to the city center with bike parking nearby.
* By public transport: a 5-minute walk from tram stop Korenmarkt. Please note: if traveling home by public transport after a late shift (11, check in advance whether a connection is still available.
* By car: no hotel parking, but public car parks “Kouter” and “Ramen” are within walking distance.
