A major player in the steel and metals industry is looking for a Project Engineer to join its engineering team on site in Geel. You will lead technical projects that support modernization and continuous improvement of production facilities in a highly industrial environment.
Some of your responsibilities will include :
* Lead technical projects covering new installations, upgrades, and refurbishments.
* Shape concepts into actionable project plans and feasibility reviews.
* Establish key project foundations, progress markers, and risk awareness.
* Prepare progress reports and ensure smooth project handovers.
* Coordinate internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure smooth implementation.
* Deliver proper documentation, technical drawings, and training at project handover.
* Actively drive health and safety compliance across project planning and on-site execution.
About You :
* You hold a degree in industrial or mechanical engineering.
* Experience in project or maintenance environments.
* Comfortable working with planning tools and office software.
* You communicate comfortably in Dutch and English; French is an advantage.
