As a Junior Project Manager within GOPA PACE's Peace & Security Department, you will play a vital role in supporting the Project Managers in overseeing and facilitating projects across multiple sectors. Your responsibilities involve aiding project coordination, administrative tasks, communication with stakeholders, and contributing to the successful implementation of various initiatives.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES
1. Project support
* Assist the Project Manager in coordinating and organizing project activities across the sectors of the department and more specifically, Security Sector Reform, Migration & Forced Displacement.
* Support in maintaining project documentation, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.
* Aid in organizing meetings, taking minutes, and facilitating communication between project teams and stakeholders.
2. Assistance in project management
* Assist in monitoring project timelines and milestones, reporting any deviations to the Project Manager.
* Support in quality assurance of project outcomes and deliverables.
* Collaborate with the Project Manager in conducting field visits or monitoring missions as required
3. Stakeholder communication
* Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and beneficiaries under the guidance of the Project Manager.
* Assist in drafting correspondences, reports, and presentations as necessary.
* Act as a liaison between different departments or teams involved in project activities.
4. Admiistrative support
* Aid in administrative tasks related to project management, including procurement, budget tracking, and maintaining project databases.
* Assist in organizing project-related events, workshops, or training sessions.
5. sector specific collaboration
* Actively engage in learning and understanding various sectors within the department to support the Project Manager in sector-specific matters.
* Assist in identifying technical trends, market developments, and relevant updates within respective fields.

* Experience in negotiating contracts with clients and proven knowledge of EU PRAG requirements.
Qualifications and key skills
* Bachelor’s degree, preferably in fields related to International Relations, Security Studies, Public Policy, or relevant disciplines.
* Master’s degree or other postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields would be an asset.
* At least two years of professional experience or internship in project management in related fields is required.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Sound knowledge of EU cooperation policies and instruments.
* Familiarity with EU and other donors’ funding procedures..
* Computer skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Proficiency in English and French is mandatory. Fluency in Arabic or Spanish would be valuable. Knowledge of other languages, relevant to our regions of work will be considered as an asset.
* Eagerness to learn and grow within the project management domain.
