The role requires a strong mechanical engineering background, complemented by working‑level knowledge of electrical systems and software regression testing, enabling effective coordination of multidisciplinary AIT activities. You will act as the technical integrator between mechanical, electrical, and software teams, ensuring coherent execution of integration, test, and verification activities. /p pYou will contribute to the definition, design, and production of Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) required to safely integrate, handle, and test flight hardware. /p h3MAIN FUNCTIONS /h3 ul liFocal point for AIT activities and workflows /li liStrong experience in environmental campaigns (preparation, execution and reporting), acting as main PoC towards testing facilities. /li liStrong mechanical background with knowledge of electrical and software regression/functional testing. /li /ul h3KEY RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 ul liLead and coordinate all AIT activities for system, subsystems, or and payload level /li liServe as the primary AIT interface between design engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management /li liOwn the mechanical integration strategy, including alignment, fastening, torquing, handling, and cleanliness control /li liCoordinate electrical integration and software regression testing activities in close collaboration with electrical and software engineers, ensuring test readiness, sequencing, and coverage /li liPlan, prepare, and execute environmental test campaigns, including vibration, shock, thermal vacuum (TVAC), and functional testing /li liDefine and maintain AIT workflows, build sequences, integration plans, and test plans, covering mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines /li liCoordinate production and readiness of parts, tooling, MGSE, EGSE, and test equipment to support AIT schedules /li liContribute to the design, procurement, and validation of MGSE, including handling fixtures, alignment tools, transport frames, and test supports /li liGenerate and maintain AIT documentation /li liManage AIT schedules /li liSupport risk management by identifying AIT risks and proposing mitigation measures /li liProvide on‑floor technical leadership during integration and testing /li liLead anomaly resolution and in coordination with PA lead, perform root‑cause analysis across mechanical, electrical, and software domains /li liParticipate in design reviews with a focus on AIT needs and how this may inform the detailed design of mechanical systems and components /li liCoordinate with logistics partners to ensure that transportation of ispace platform to and from testing and integration facilities happens as planned /li liMentor and technically guide junior AIT engineers and technicians /li /ul h3KEY REQUIREMENTS /h3 ul liBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field /li li5–10 years of experience in spacecraft, satellite, or high‑reliability system AIT /li liStrong experience preparing and executing environmental test campaigns (vibration, TVAC, shock) /li liProven ability to plan and coordinate AIT activities across multiple disciplines /li liHands‑on experience with integration, test execution, and troubleshooting of complex hardware /li liSolid understanding of spacecraft subsystems and their AIT constraints /li liExperience with AIT documentation, configuration control, and nonconformance management /li liAbility to drive execution in a schedule‑driven, high‑stakes environment /li liStrong communication and coordination skills in English /li /ul h3WHY JOIN ISPACE EUROPE? /h3 pAt ispace EU, we’re not just building lunar rovers — we’re shaping the future of space exploration from our base in Luxembourg.
