We are seeking an experienced Freelance Test Engineer to support a critical billing project within a leading Belgian infrastructure organisation. This role is central to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of systems used to invoice operational activities across a large-scale network.

Position: Freelance Test Engineer
Duration: 12-month Contract (5-year extension)
Location: Brussels (Hybrid model)
Start Date: Beginning of July
Day Rate: €(Negotiable & Competitive)
Languages: Dutch (C1) + French (B2) & English
Key Responsibilities:
Quickly understand the organisation’s in-house billing system and related operational processes
Analyse invoicing rules and business logic
Create, maintain, and execute test plans and scenarios
Analyse results and log defects in ALM (HP Quality Center)
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure smooth validation
Act as a key contact for Dutch-speaking stakeholders
Contribute to QA processes within an Agile/Scrum environment
Ideal Candidate:
Experience as a Test Engineer in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong skills in test planning and scenario creation
Experience with test tools (ALM preferred)
ISTQB certification (mandatory)
Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-driven
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Able to quickly understand complex systems
Desirable:
Experience with UFT or Selenium
Basic knowledge of Jenkins, Docker, or Git
Familiarity with ALM
Experience with billing systems, public sector, or large-scale operational environments
