Job Description:
* Solving 2nd and 3rd line network problems (routing, switching and wireless networks)
* Monitoring networks and intervening in the event of problems on networks
* Measuring traffic on operational police networks
* Validating network architecture proposals
* Developing the network architecture for the federal police buildings
* Advising local police zones on their network architecture
* Documenting the networks
* Manage assets
* Conducting site surveys on structured network cabling for fixed and wireless networks
* Participate in a ""reachable and on-call"" service outside normal business hours.

Your talents
* A degree or diploma in computer science or equivalent through experience.
* French or Dutch speaking and willing to work in a multilingual environment (French, Dutch, English)
* Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years in a similar position
* At least 5 years of practical experience in general technical management (architecture design, selection of equipment and connections, evaluation
* A wide area network of at least 50 sites in a maximum configuration.
* At least 10 local computer networks, interconnected by a wide area network.
* Led at least 2 local network installation projects (structured cabling, architectural design, connection points) in the last 5 years.
* Have led at least one migration project (design, budgeting, lab testing, implementation, ...) for the technological change
Technical knowledge required :
* Computer networks from LAN to WAN :
* Network architecture
* Network security
* TCP/IP and its application in fixed and wireless networks (including SNMP, OSPF, BGP)
* Ethernet local networks with Layer 2/3 switching, based primarily on Avaya/Extreme Networks and including VLAN, MLT and S
* Wireless networks (Wi-Fi), preferably based on Aruba equipment
* Wide Area Networking based on SDSL and VDSL connections (MPLS IP VPN), SD-WAN, wireless connections (Hz), fiber optic connections
* Solutions for managing the performance of a computer network, including the use of Netscout's Truview product.
* Firewall operation and programming.
* Dark fibre and the DWDM equipment installed in it, such as ADVA.
* Blade switches and virtual switches in virtualized environments (KVM and VMWare).
* Minimum Cisco CCNA kennis level
