Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled student to support the activities of the Laboratory Facilities. As part of our team, you will participate in the daily activities of the laboratories.
* Location: Sint-Stevens-Woluwe (Brussels Area)
* Start date: At the earliest
* Duration: 3 months with a possibility of extension
* Availability: once per week, during office hours (Monday – Friday). Can be increased to twice a week in July and September.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Participation in the upkeep and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment
* Assistance with preparation of tools and equipment for tests (scientific and technical)
* Support the Laboratory Team in the mechanical and electrical assembly, integration and testing of the company prototypes and products
* Support in:
o Maintaining order and cleanliness in the laboratory and technical areas
o Implementing new processes and methodologies in the laboratory
o Management of laboratory stocks and consumables (raw materials, fasteners, electronic components)
o Management of laboratory deliveries and shipment
Skills and Experience
* Currently enrolled in an Electronic/Mechanical bachelor’s degree (A1) or a Technical College degree (A2)
* Detail-oriented and technical mind-set
* Ability to work methodically and independently
* Innate organisational skills
* Good English proficiency is required
