E-Commerce Operations Manager @ the next digital marketplace for premium car parts

Location: Antwerp, Belgium

About the Role
We're seeking a driven and experienced e-Commerce Operational Manager to optimize our internal processes and technical landscape, setting the stage for scalable growth. You'll be the architect of efficiency, connecting disparate systems, automating workflows, and ensuring seamless operations across all departments. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic vision and a willingness to dive into the details. This role is pivotal in the growth of the organization, and you will have to use your expertise to help us grow.

You will own the full order-to-delivery chain, working across logistics, platforms, support, and suppliers. Your mission is to ensure operational excellence, happy customers, and scalable processes.


Tasks

Responsibilities

* Order & fulfillment Management Own day-to-day order flows, deliveries & returns: intake, supplier handoffs, tracking, confirmations, and exceptions. Ensure every order is fulfilled quickly, reliably, and visibly. Build and optimize SOPs for edge cases: delays, stockouts, failed deliveries, returns. Monitor SLAs and delivery KPIs across all the delivery chain.
* Process Optimization & Automation: Analyze and streamline internal workflows across customer success, accounting, PIM, and ERP. Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual work, leveraging existing tools or introducing new solutions. Lead cross-functional projects on process improvement, system integration, and automation.
* Technical Landscape Management: Oversee and optimize our technical infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration between different tools and systems, such as our e-commerce platform, PIM, ERP, CRM, and delivery partner platforms.
* Customer Experience & Support. Ensure fast, clear, and empathetic support through structured escalation paths, templates, and proactive communication. Maintain feedback loops with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. Own the “Customer Experience Logbook” to track recurring issues and drive improvements in UX, supplier performance, and fulfillment — balancing delight with operational efficiency.
* Team & Vendor Collaboration: Manage relationships with parts suppliers, as well as logistics & distribution service providers. Hire and manage additional support or operational staff as we grow.
* Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operational processes and identify areas for further optimization.
* Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks and technical issues.


Requirements

Qualifications

* Proven experience in an operational management or similar role, preferably in an e-commerce or technology-driven environment.
* Strong understanding of e-commerce operations, including order fulfillment, inventory management, and customer service processes.
* Experience with process mapping, analysis, and optimization techniques.
* Technical aptitude and experience working with various software systems, including PIM, ERP, CRM, and e-commerce platforms.
* Experience with API integrations and automation tools is highly desirable.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement effective solutions.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive, hands-on approach and a willingness to get involved in the details.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for cars or having worked in the car parts industry is a real plus.
* Fluent in Dutch and English
