To further support its international growth ambitions, we are currently looking for a Sales Manager Trading & Industry.
Mission
As Sales Manager Trading & Industry, you are responsible for the sale of by-products to international trading and industrial markets. Your mission is to achieve revenue and profitability targets by developing and executing effective sales strategies, strengthening customer relationships, and identifying new market opportunities.
You operate in a dynamic international market environment, working closely with internal departments (Marketing, Supply Chain, Production) and external customers. This role requires a strong commercial mindset, analytical skills, and excellent negotiation capabilities. Frequent customer visits and participation in international trade fairs are part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation of Sales Policy
* Monitor market developments and competitor activities.
* Translate the sales plan into target-oriented budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates.
* Analyze sales figures and monitor turnover and margins.
* Adjust commercial plans where necessary to achieve objectives.
* Prepare and present periodic reports on results, market developments, and category performance.
Achievement of Sales Plans
* Sell products within assigned international market segments.
* Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers while actively acquiring new ones.
* Advise customers on pricing, promotions, and order levels.
* Negotiate prices and commercial terms within established margins.
* Ensure accurate and timely administrative follow-up of transactions.
Customer Advisory & Relationship Management
* Provide expert advice on product applications and promotions.
* Deliver product information and commercial support.
* Build long-term, sustainable, and trust-based customer relationships.
* Strengthen customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Market & Competitor Analysis
* Identify relevant market trends and competitor activities.
* Report insights and discuss strategic implications with management.
* Contribute to data-driven commercial decision-making.
Complaint Handling
* Investigate and resolve customer complaints in line with company procedures.
* Consult with management on complex cases and execute agreed actions.
* Accurately record complaints and solutions in the internal system.
Additional Contributions
* Represent the company at trade fairs and sales meetings.
* Support internal collaboration and carry out related administrative tasks.
* Contribute actively to the commercial visibility and positioning of the organization.
Candidate Profile
Education
* Master's degree or equivalent academic level of thinking and working.
Experience & Technical Skills
* Proven experience in sales within FMCG, food, trading, or industrial markets.
* Strong knowledge of sales processes and market dynamics.
* Experience in developing and implementing sales plans, including budgeting and forecasting.
* Skilled in price negotiations and contract management.
Competencies
* Strong results-oriented mindset with a high commercial drive.
* Excellent relationship builder and networker with an international outlook.
* Analytical and strategic thinking skills, able to translate market insights into concrete actions.

Languages
* Fluent Dutch, French, and English (high professional level required for international market coverage).
