The opportunity
Our internal Finance team is looking for a Junior GL Accountant. You will be responsible for checking the quality of the books and supporting the year-end closing process. In addition, you will join a young and dynamic team, genuinely passionate about its work, within a leading global professional services firm.
Your key responsibilities:
1. Perform Balance Sheet and P&L monthly account reconciliations and analysis
2. Perform Fixed Assets Accounting (FA creation and FA Maintenance)
3. Prepare/Review GL journal entries and accruals
4. Prepare monthly and annual closings
5. Prepare Audit files and statutory reconciliations for several legal entities
6. Provide support in the preparation of the Belgian statutory financial statements
To qualify for the role, you have the following qualifications:
7. You hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting
8. You have a minimum of 3 years of working experience in accounting in a similar function
9. You have a first experience in BE GAAP and year-end closing
10. You are fluent in French or Dutch and English as you will be communicating with our shared service center abroad
11. You can adapt quickly to changes and can handle multiple priorities concurrently
12. You are analytical, accurate and have strong data-gathering skills
13. You have a good knowledge of Excel (Look-up functions, Pivot Table etc.)
Ideally, you’ll also have
14. Experience in an international environment using the BE GAAP in combination with another GAAP and multiple ledgers
15. Experience with an ERP like SAP
