Mission.
As part of a project for a key Belgian player in the energy landscape, a European transmission system operator, our client ensures the reliability and sustainability of the electricity supply in our country. you will play a part in building a sustainable, green a reliable energy infrastructure that stimulates economic growth and reduces our ecological footprint.
To contribute to Europe and Belgium’s ambitions for the Energy Transition, the company has foreseen to extend its offshore high voltage grid, by constructing the Princess Elisabeth Island. The island shall be a hub to connect the new Belgian windfarms situated within the “Princess Elisabeth Windfarm zone”.
Main Responsabilities:
1. Reports to the Construction manager
2. Dedicated to a specific site being either Vlissingen (Smulders) or Schiedam (HSM)
3. Works in a multidisciplinary teams together with, amongst others: welding inspectors, paint inspectors, safety inspectors, outfitting engineers, design engineers,…
4. Has technical ownership for issues during outfitting on site, escalating major issues to the Construction Manager
5. Supports the Construction manager in management of the site team, as well as interactions with the EPC contractor
6. Coordinates & participates in inspections on site
7. Participates in review of documents submitted by the contractor
8. Coordinates Elia vendors coming on site (together with the responsible project leaders and construction manager).
9. Maintain internal systems & processes to manage incoming inspection reports of inspectors, to allow focussed and clear communication towards the EPC contractor and the site team.
10. Prepare weekly and monthly reports (together with the construction manager)
11. Act as the knowledge center/expert for all inspectors on site (incl. full knowledge of all for contractor’s documents and ER’s/Employers document)
12. In charge of alignment with the Engineering team, acting as SPOC for engineering queries
13. Act as a lead for quality topics on the yard (follow up of non-conformities, quality processes, …)
14. Support the team with diverse tasks: for example: cost benefit analysis of variants, …
Required profile.
15. You have at least 3 years of relevant working experience
16. Experience in the offshore sector is preferable.
17. Experience with topside outfitting is preferable.
18. Experience with multiple disciplines onsite is a must.
19. Experience with Quality Control/Assurance on a construction site is a plus.
20. Education: Engineering (Electrical and/or mechanical)
21. Possess a VCA VOL/SCC for supervisor’s certificate.
22. Shall comply with the company’s PPE and training matrix.
23. Excellent MS Office skills (able to write well structured reports and manage incoming reports efficiently).
24. Knowledge of Aconex is a plus
