Role Description
As a QHSE Officer at GEOxyz, you play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our projects. Together with the project teams, you make sure our employees work in a safe environment. In the event of incidents, such as collisions, blackouts, or equipment loss, you take the lead in resolving the situation and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
You will oversee projects from start to finish, working closely with the Project Manager and Party Chief. You will also report weekly on incident follow-ups to our high-level clients.
Main responsibilities
* Conduct analyses, support the development of QHSE project plans
* Perform audits related to safety, quality, and environmental aspects.
* Support tender department on QHSE related input towards potential clients.
* Serve as the primary contact for the client regarding all QHSE matters.
* Ensure the delivery of QHSE-related project deliverables to the client.
* Implement the GEOxyz QHSE policies at the project level
* Support the execution of the project QHSE management plan.
* Organize and report on toolboxes and awareness campaigns at the project level.
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and Safety Culture Ladder in project processes.
* Follow up on safety observations and incidents at the project level.
* Conduct workplace inspections and report findings using the GEOxyz reporting tool.
* Support project management during client audits at the project site.
Qualifications
* You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in safety or maritime studies.
* Experience in structured project management.
* Experience in quality and safety is a plus but not required.
* Experience with ISO standards is a plus but not required.
* A strong interest in the maritime sector and willingness to travel 4-5 times a year within Europe.
* Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
* You are solution-oriented, stress-resistant, and have a keen eye for detail.
