DepartmentIT & DataGlobal Analytics & Instrumentation EngineerFull-time | Location – Olathe, KSWe are seeking a Global Analytics & Instrumentation Engineer to own the data collection and event tracking foundation across multiple e-commerce platforms and regions. This role ensures consistency across systems like Mixpanel and BigQuery, enabling accurate and scalable analytics. The focus is on capturing data correctly at the source, not reporting.YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESDefine and maintain a global event taxonomy, including naming conventions, event schemas, and property standards, to ensure consistency across all platforms and markets. Own the end-to-end instrumentation strategy and serve as the internal authority on what gets tracked, how, and why.Manage data layer architecture and tag management standards in GTM across web and mobile. Align tracking implementations across Mixpanel, Google Analytics, and BigQuery so events and properties are consistent and data can be reliably compared without reconciliation issues.Partner with engineering teams to guide tracking implementations during feature development and establish QA and monitoring processes that catch regressions or data quality issues before they impact downstream analysis. Maintain clear documentation of standards and schemas for engineers and analysts across the org.Support multi-region tracking requirements, balancing regional consent and privacy regulations with global consistency.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE4–7+ years of professional experience in analytics engineering or instrumentation or a closely related discipline.Strong proficiency in SQL, ideally with hands-on experience querying large datasets in Google BigQuery.Proven experience with Google Tag Manager, Mixpanel, and Google Analytics, including configuring tags, triggers, and variables, as well as designing event schemas that work well across multiple analytics destinations.Solid understanding of clickstream data and user journey tracking concepts, including session modeling, funnel construction, and the challenges of accurately attributing events to users across devices and sessions.Working knowledge of JavaScript and the browser dataLayer, sufficient to review and debug tracking implementations, write custom GTM variables or tags, and collaborate effectively with front-end engineers on instrumentation tasks.Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and data teams, with strong communication skills and the ability to drive alignment on technical standards across groups with competing priorities.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience working within an e-commerce environmentStrong SQL (BigQuery preferred)Experience with GTM, Mixpanel, Google AnalyticsUnderstanding of clickstream and user journey trackingBasic JavaScript/dataLayer knowledgeCross-functional collaboration experienceWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOUYou’ll be part of a people-centric culture where your well-being truly matters.
