Software QA Engineer

Overview You will be part of the Healthcare business unit, ensuring that our display systems are functional, reliable, secure, and aligned with both user needs and system requirements. This is an individual contributor role within an agile software team. Your responsibilities will include developing test cases from requirements, performing verification and validation testing, and assisting in troubleshooting and resolving issues. Key Responsibilities
1. Perform verification of complex hardware/software system involving workstations, display controller and drivers, displays, and other peripherals in windows environment
2. Conduct system level trouble shooting, perform preliminary root cause analysis
3. Participate in Agile development process as QA engineer, derive test cases from requirement specs, user stories, and defect history. Define end-to-end test plans for display systems and components involved
4. Participate in the design, development and integration of automated test tools for regression testing.
Requirements
5. Familiar with computer systems, both hardware and software, experienced with system configuration, maintenance, trouble shooting, performance tuning. Be able to work with IT to maintain stable test environment, and manage hardware
6. Basic understanding of graphics hardware and video interfaces, I/O technology, such as EDID/DisplayID, DP, graphics drivers, PnP
7. Experience with virtualization, networking, GPOs
8. Knowledge/Experience with software scripting languages such as batch scripts, Python, PowerShell, etc is a plus
9. Bachelor degree or more than 3 years industry experience in engineering.

10. Office Environment - Job performed in normal office environment including 6-8 hours a day of sitting, computer activities, communication skills, intermittet standing, limited lifting, physical activities or exposure to regular office conditions.
11. Ability to lift, carry, or position equipment or components (typically up to 50 lbs).
12. Ability to walk, bend, reach, and move between office, lab, areas as needed.
13. Ability to connect, unplug, handle, or manipulate cables, small parts, or testing hardware.
14. Regular business hours apply; however, occasional overtime or adjusted work hours may be required to meet testing schedules or product release timelines.
15. Work may require approaching or handling prototype units, displays, system components, or test fixtures.
16. Must comply with all environmental, health, safety, and security protocols.
17. Must be able to visually inspect hardware and displays and perform tasks involving fine motor skills.
