The job:
As Total Reward Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping, implementing and continuously evolving our Total Rewards strategy. You are not only responsible for managing and processing payroll data with precision, but also for driving innovation in our compensation and benefits offering from A to Z. For this purpose you will ensure the timely and accurate payment of salaries, benefits, and other related tasks. Additionally, you gather, analyze, and interpret data to support strategic decision-making processes.
Key responsibilities:
* You proactively challenge and elevate payroll processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and compliance. You are responsible for the following regions: Belgium, the Netherlands, France, and the UK, covering approximately 150 employees in total.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international regulations and internal policies regarding payroll processing and data management.
* Design, lead and continuously improve innovative Total Rewards programs (compensation, benefits, recognition, mobility, etc.) aligned with our business goals, market trends and employee expectations.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in payroll administration and data management.
* Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support management decision-making.
* Identify opportunities to optimize and automate processes across Payroll and C&B processes.
* Act as a trusted point of contact for employees. Providing colleagues with clear answers to questions regarding parental leave, vacation, sickness, etc.
* Partnering with the internal HR Business Partner and HR Manager on projects around reward design, international alignment and strategic workforce planning.
* Reporting to the HR Manager EMEA.
This is you:
* Experience with the social secretariat SD Worx, a white-collar employee population, and Joint Committee 200
* Motivated to take on responsibility not only for Belgium, but also for a smaller population in the Netherlands, France, and the UK. Knowledge and experience in Belgian social legislation and payroll are essential. Familiarity with other countries is an asset.
* Strong interest in personnel management, social law, and labor law.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to make informed decisions.
* Effective communication skills in Dutch and English and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Interest in being involved in broader HR projects.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
* Minimum of least 5 years of relevant payroll experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of HRIS software is a plus.
* Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Eager to continuously improve HR processes and offerings.
