Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with EPLAN for electrical schematics and panel design, a strong understanding of CE and UL compliance. You will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and validating electrical systems for industrial automation and machinery, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using EPLAN Electric.
2. Ensure all designs comply with CE marking requirements and UL standards.
3. Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical systems into complete machine designs.
4. Perform risk assessments and ensure machinery safety in accordance with ISO 12100, ISO 13849, and other relevant standards.
5. Support the development of technical documentation including BOMs, wiring lists, and test procedures.
6. Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during manufacturing and commissioning.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical design best practices, safety standards, and regulatory changes.
8. Apply CMSE principles to ensure functional safety and risk mitigation in machine design.
9. Coordinate with Supply Chain and Operations the selection and use of new electrical parts.
Qualifications
10. Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
11. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in electrical design for industrial machinery.
12. Proficiency in EPLAN Electric.
13. Strong knowledge of CE and UL standards for electrical systems.
14. Familiarity with safety standards such as IEC 60204-1, ISO 13849, and EN 62061.
15. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
16. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
17. Fluent in English
18. Willing to travel occasionally.
