Your missionThe Legal, Contract & Compliance department is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Legal & Contract Manager to provide expert legal support, manage the full contract lifecycle, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract and commercial law, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance across relevant jurisdictions. You will be a key player in mitigating legal and business risks while supporting the company's strategic and operational goals. As Senior Legal & Contract Manage, you will work closely with Thales Belgium's Legal & Contracts Director. Your Responsibilities Drafting, reviewing, amending and negotiating (general) commercial contracts (e.G. procurement and supplier contracts, service agreements, letters of intent, MOU, NDA, etc…) and company templates (Sales & Purchase T&Cs,). Understand and manage complex supply chains from a contractual perspective upstream and downstream. Ensure that contractual, commercial and technical risks (ability to understand technical and commercial aspects of contracts) to the business are minimized and the company's operating needs are met all along a project (from bid phase to contract performance). Advising on tenders and giving legal assistance to the bid team in preparation of their offer. Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and implications of business decisions. Contract management: Monitor contract performance and key milestones, ensuring timely renewals and compliance with obligations in close co-operation with the Project Managers. Assist the Legal & Contracts Director in compliance matters (anti-corruption, GDPR, competition law). Give trainings to staff on compliance, legal, and ethical standards. Your permanent office will be located in Herstal (with occasional visits to Tubize site). We are looking forward to You are preferably a Belgian-law trained lawyer. You have 10 to 15 years' experience in international contract law/commercial law in an international (technology) company or in a law firm and have been exposed to both domestic and international commercial contracts. You have relevant (international) contract negotiation and drafting skills; excellent communicationskills and writing abilities. You have a business-oriented mindset with the ability to balance legal risks with business objectives. You are a team player and you communicate very easily and efficiently with your colleagues, yet you are able to work independently and duly manage your workload and priorities.
