We are seeking a senior freelance AI Business & Data Analyst/Data Analytics Translator to join our client's Predictive Models team within the Marketing and Communications department. This role is ideal for professionals who excel at bridging the gap between business strategy and data science, translating complex marketing challenges into actionable AI and analytics solutions. You will work closely with data scientists and business stakeholders to maximise the impact and relevance of campaigns while ensuring the ethical and responsible use of AI.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to gather and clarify business needs, translating them into clear, actionable AI and analytics use cases.
Support adoption and usage of predictive models by converting technical outputs into practical business insights.
Analyse and explore new data sources to facilitate access for AI initiatives and data analysis.
Conduct feasibility studies and estimate the business value of AI and analytics use cases.
Ensure compliance with AI governance policies, enabling model explainability, fairness, and transparency.
Monitor and report on model performance, usage, and value generation, supporting data-driven decision-making across the department.
Act as a bridge between technical teams and business users, effectively communicating results to non-technical audiences.
Track and document the lifecycle of AI and data products to ensure responsible use and business impact.
Requirements
5+ years of relevant experience in AI, data science, software development, or data analytics.
Proven ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear technical specifications and actionable insights.
Strong technical skills in Python, SQL, statistical methods, experiment design, A/B testing, and understanding of data pipelines and MLOps.
Knowledge of GDPR and other data regulations; experience in marketing campaigns, direct marketing, and agile methodologies is a plus.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or AI/ML specialisations are a plus.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
