Job Summary
:
1. Responsible for contributing to the development, planning and implementation of the continuous improvement ( strategy across operations.
2. Responsible for engaging staff and promoting a culture that supports. as a core competency.
3. Help identify and facilitate. opportunities, assisting project teams to utilise data and appropriate methodologies to deliver quantifiable improvements across operations in a structured and timely manner.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
4. Work with the Operations Management team to identify and support opportunities for improvements.
5. Plan, Facilitate and lead Continuous Improvement events as a subject matter expert, empowering operational staff and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
6. Coach in the use of Lean / CI tools and techniques to deliver a standard approach to continuous improvement.
7. Support day-to-day operational aspects of continuous improvement projects and associated scope to ensure consistent achievement of continuous improvement measure by key performance indicators, such as Quality, Cost and Delivery.
8. Collate and present ROI analysis / trend findings with cost justification for process or equipment improvements.
9. Actively promote and communicate progress of CI activities on a site wide basis using effective methods
10. Liaise with Health & Safety as required to ensure any changes / improvements to ensure a safe, clean and standardized working environment is maintained.
11. Follow the change management process to support the adoption of changes required within the operation.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
12. Sound understanding and use of continuous improvement approaches and methodology, such as DMAIC, Six-Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, etc.
13. Problem solving tools and leading cross-functional project teams
14. Strong statistical, financial and analytical acumen
15. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and in particular Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint
16. A strong ability to change the status quo.
17. Solid project management skills.
18. Ability to create simple and memorable training materials for different levels of the organisation.
19. Strong communication (written and verbal), facilitation, decision making, collaboration and conflict management skills.
20. Excellent presentation and engagement skills to influence and communicate with all levels of the business.
21. Previous experience working within a Continuous Improvement role is a plus.
Experience:
22. 3-5 years’ experience in a continuous improvement strategy implementation / portfolio management role, ideally in a production, engineering, pharmaceutical, medical device environment.
Education:
23. Hold a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree
24. Black Belt certification preferred
