We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professional to lead the implementation of effective occupational and process safety strategies within a leading industrial organization.
This key role plays a pivotal part in ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, driving a positive safety culture by engaging employees at all levels, and embedding safe behaviors across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement the company's SHE strategy aligned with internal policies and industry best practices.
* Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions.
* Promote a strong safety culture through engagement and communication across all organizational levels.
* Ensure safety policies and procedures reflect industry standards and meet all legal requirements.
* Monitor safety performance metrics and KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
* Prepare and present regular safety performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
* Stay informed of relevant safety legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies, including local authorities and safety agencies, and participate in audits and inspections.
Your Profile:
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in advisory or managerial roles in health and safety, ideally within the chemical or related industries.
* Solid experience with regulatory inspections and/or audits.
* Familiarity with ISO 9001, quality systems, process safety, food safety standards, and Responsible Care codes.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills – an effective listener, motivator, and team leader.
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
* Sound judgment with the ability to analyze information and develop practical solutions in collaboration with local teams.
* Self-driven, highly organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to work both independently and within a matrix organization.
* Enthusiastic and passionate about fostering a positive and engaging safety culture.
* You must be fluent in English.
Holding a Level 2 Prevention Advisor (Health & Safety) certification is a mandatory requirement for this position.
