PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Within a component design site, you will be :
1. Managing functionally resources, activities and deliverables on projects in compliance with QCD commitments agreed with the PrEM for electrical traction and/or green energy supply design scope (Schematics/mechanical and electrical design/Fire and Smoke/Mechanical and electrical simulations/Advanced industrialization/…)
2. Applying applicable Traction Design Domain instructions, processes & tools.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Performance Measurement/KPI’s
• Respect of the delivery planning (included sub-contractor delivery) = 100% OTD
• Closure of open points or escalation: 10 days maximum
• Compliance to QCD contract with the PrEM (variation orders excluded): 100%
• Quality of their delivery (included sub-contractor delivery): 1st time quality rate > 90% (quality rate = modification validated OK / number of modifications applied)
• Respect of product cost allocated to the scope designed by the traction design team
Responsible for :
9. Gathering the inputs required by TD team on time and in full
10. Managing functionally the TD team on the development
11. Defining mechanical architecture taking into account weight, gauge, installation strategy, acoustics, eco design, ergonomics, aerodynamics, aeraulics kinematics…
12. Traction design(TD) QCD commitments agreed with the PrEM all along the development phase
13. TD deliverables quality and their acceptance by the Customer (internal or external) within committed limits.
14. Monitoring and sustaining TD Engineering planning
15. Ensuring the technical solutions applied on TD scope are the best compromise to match the product requirements.
16. Preparing and animating the TD design reviews and managing related Open Item list.
17. Sharing risk assessment with the PrEM and the hierarchy
18. Managing activities and production of deliverables on development in line with planning and expected quality
19. Coordinating the TD workload set up and update
20. Being the single representative of the TD scope for the PrEM and attend the engineering management meeting
21. Managing the products design considering project requirements (performances, manufacturability, cost, serviceability, etc.).
22. Resolving Technical issues and following challenging actions
23. Reporting on TD activities progress, anticipating issues (capacity, skills, rule applicability, etc.) and alerting if needed.
24. Respecting and/or allocating requirements and mechanical interfaces to Other Sub-Systems (Volume, weight, location, etc.)
25. Validating relevant traction design deliverables /Verifying design via mock-ups, simulations or testing
26. Managing “as designed” applicable configuration along product life
In addition for compo perimeter :
27. Calculates electrical, thermal and mechanical constraints relative to all critical components of the product and writes the design reports
28. Leads technical discussions with the supplier and participates in design reviews with the supplier
29. Defines, together with the validation team, the product validation strategy
30. Leads tests to check design choices on the mock-up and prototypes
31. Expertise the products returned from service or on train when deep analyse is requested
Contributor for:
• Supporting Sourcing, Industrialization and Manufacturing during Production ramp-up.
• Collaborating with Domain Leaders and especially TrDDL for continuous improvement of the Traction Design domains
• Matching the product cost target assigned by the SSM by defining on TD scope just enough solution answering customer needs
32. Supporting standardization and referent solution definition along project development.
MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

33. Graduate from an Engineering School – Generalist. Electro - Mechanical

35. Experience in project management (at least 3 years).
