Within EY, Our Financial Services Legal & Regulatory team blends legal and regulatory expertise with business insights to advise top-tier financial institutions. EY Legal & Regulatory is looking for ambitious and talented legal and regulatory (senior) consultants who accumulated a few years of relevant experience and are eager to (further) specialize in financial regulatory topics. ~ Belgian Master’s degree in Law
~2 – 5 years of professional experience in a law firm, consultancy, public body or financial institution
~ Strong knowledge of financial regulations (or a strong desire to learn). Ability to perform in-depth and creative analysis to be able to find pragmatic solutions for our client’s challenges.
~ Perfect oral and written knowledge of Dutch and/or French, with an excellent knowledge of English
~ A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving and international environment
You will join a larger cross-disciplinary team of legal and regulatory professionals who offer support to the Financial Services Industry, including banking, asset management, insurance, and payment services
You will, in the context of broader projects, collaborate with experts across the different areas of the Financial Services Industry value chain, such as risk management specialists, strategy consultants…
You will collaborate with top-tier financial institutions (both on an ad-hoc basis as on a loaning of staff basis)
You will also have the opportunity to mentor and support more junior team members
As a (Senior) Legal Consultant, you will work closely with clients to help them navigate complex new and existing regulations, ensuring compliance while driving business success. You will provide strategic legal advice, contribute to regulatory implementation projects, and collaborate with financial institutions' compliance and legal teams.
