We are looking for a Senior Business / Functional Analyst to support a high-security information systems environment within a large international organisation operating in the defence and security domain.
Although the role is contracted as a Business Analyst, the client is explicitly seeking a strong Functional Analyst profile, closely aligned with technical teams, system design, and functional specifications.
Business Architect or purely strategic profiles are NOT suitable for this role.
The consultant will act as a key interface between business stakeholders, programme management, architects, and technical teams, contributing to the analysis, design, validation, and evolution of secure, mission-critical systems.
Functional & Business Analysis
Perform gap analysis and propose concrete functional and solution-oriented recommendations.
Analyse existing systems and identify areas of improvement.
Capture, analyse, and document business and functional requirements.
Focus on functional software requirements rather than high-level strategy.
Produce high-quality analysis and functional documentation, including (non-exhaustive):
Business Requirements Document (BRD)
Data models (entities, relationships, attributes)
Test cases and validation scenarios
Gap analysis & impact analysis documents
Act as a bridge between business and technical audiences.
Support business testing and validation phases.
Apply high-quality standards and structured methodologies.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst / Functional Analyst.
Experience in defence, security, government, or international institutional environments.
Proven experience with functional analysis and modelling techniques.
Excellent capacity to write clear, structured, and high-quality functional analysis.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Prior experience in international or institutional environments.
Business Analysis certification (IIBA, PMI-PBA) is a plus.
Knowledge of French.
Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree is a plus).
Fluent English (C1–C2) mandatory; French is an asset.
