As a Dutch and French-speaking Risk Management professional, you probably know better than anyone how devastating it can be for large infrastructure projects when risks aren’t systematically identified, assessed, and mitigated. If risk governance is not enforced, entire energy programs can collapse—causing delays, cost overruns, and reputational damage.
Success of Engineering Projects mostly relies on key individuals demonstrating Intrapreneurial Leadership, and the best way to develop these skills is through hands-on consulting roles—working alongside established intrapreneurs in international companies, contributing to managing stakeholders' engagement, workflows' reliability, or solutions' sustainability.
Join AETHER to support Intrapreneurial Projects as a Risk Management Consultant:
The scope, here, is to reinforce risk governance and simulation processes within a major energy infrastructure program led by a Belgian transmission system operator.
The Key Responsibilities Expected From Our Consultant Might Include
Support projects through high-quality and detail-oriented execution, ensuring accuracy and meeting expectations:
* Make sure the Risk Management Plan’s processes and procedures are implemented and respected
* Log the identified risks in the tool, assess their impacts, and follow up the mitigation actions
* Run simulations and Monte Carlo analyses on cost and schedule to calculate contingencies
* Provide risk-management expertise to program members
* Improve the risk-management methodology and update the Risk Management Plan when needed
Support projects with rational and data-driven assessments regarding costs, quality, and timelines, providing objective analyses for decision-making:
* Govern and manage the overall risk process
* Audit the ongoing risk management of EPC contractors and share the findings
Support Projects By Facilitating Communication And Reporting Between Stakeholders
* Organize Risk Management meetings
* Report on program risks
The Experience We Are Actively Looking For
* Degree in engineering or economics
* Proven project management capabilities with strong adaptability
* Proficiency in risk management tools, techniques, and methodologies
* Knowledge of PMI/PMBOK is a plus
* Experience in infrastructure or high-voltage projects is an asset
* Fluent in Dutch and French, good knowledge of English
* Excellent communication, proactivity, and analytical thinking
* Valid work and residence permits for Belgium (mandatory for non-EU candidates)
* Immediate availability and presence in Belgium are preferred
