What is the Graduate Development Program (GDP)?
The GDP is a two-year rotational program designed to launch your career within our Procurement organization. Over 2 rotations, you’ll be part of real projects, collaborate with experts, and gain a 360° view of how medicines move from the laboratory to patients.
Who you’ll work with
During your rotations, you will:
1. Work with cross-functional teams
2. Present your work to senior leaders and learn from their feedback
3. Receive coaching from your manager and guidance from a dedicated mentor
4. Rely on a “buddy” to support your day-to-day integration
5. Be part of UCB’s Early Talent community, joining workshops, site visits, and networking events
What you’ll learn
Throughout the program, you will:
6. Lead your own development, with support from your manager and mentor
7. Strengthen future-proof skills like digital tools, continuous improvement, and sustainability thinking
8. Build capabilities in:Partnering with Procurement COE to support new projects for process improvementsAchieving efficiency through negotiationsConducting Cost Modeling rigorouslyCollaboration with Digital TechnologyTranslating Data into business needsManaging supplier relationships effectivelyAssess AI impact in procurement
What you need to join – Mandatory requirements
To fully participate and grow in the program, you must have:
9. A recent degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Procurement & Logistics, Marketing or similar fields
10. Extensive knowledge of AI, new technologies, be digital savvy (SAP Ariba, Microsoft Office Suite)
11. Fluency in English
12. Maximum 2 years’ work experience
13. Legal right to work in Belgium
