A leading international engineering and project delivery consultancy is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager (Cx Lead) to support a large-scale data centre construction project in Mons, Belgium. This is a high-impact site-based role, ideal for candidates with strong commissioning experience across mission-critical environments.
The Opportunity
As Commissioning Manager, you will take ownership of commissioning strategy and execution on-site, ensuring systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client expectations.
You will lead commissioning activities across either:
* Process & Mechanical systems, or
* Electrical systems (including energisation)
This role requires a hands-on leader who can coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage commissioning plans, and ensure delivery to programme, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the Commissioning (Cx) Plan aligned with client strategic goals
* Lead all on-site commissioning activities, including witnessing installation and system testing
* Prepare and execute Cx protocols specific to project requirements
* Manage and coordinate energisation activities where applicable
* Act as the primary representative for the commissioning team in:
* Client meetings
* Site visits
* Audits and troubleshooting sessions
* Collaborate closely with client engineers, project managers, and stakeholders
* Ensure alignment with engineering, quality, and production requirements
* Monitor and control commissioning budgets (hours) in line with project expectations
* Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and client compliance standards
About You
* Proven experience as a Commissioning Lead / Manager on mission-critical or data centre projects
* Strong background in either:
* Mechanical/process commissioning, or
* Electrical commissioning (including energisation)
* Demonstrated xphnsxz ability to deliver commissioning activities across multiple complex projects
* Strong technical competence with a hands-on, problem-solving approach
* Ability to lead teams and coordinate across disciplines on-site
* Excellent understanding of health & safety practices and client standards
* Strong communication skills and ability to represent the commissioning function at senior level
