As a Senior/Principal Consultant, you will drive complex projects and proposals from start to finish, bringing your consulting expertise to bear on strategy, evaluation and impact assessment. You will work closely with decision-makers, manage client relationships, and guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver insights and research that influence policy at the highest levels.

We are offering an exciting career opportunity for a motivated Senior or Principal Consultant to join and strengthen our Digital Economy and Technologies team, a fast-growing practice within Technopolis Group that builds bridges between public stakeholders, industry, and technology on the EU’s digital agenda. Based in our Brussels office, you will lead high-profile assignments at the intersection of digital policy, innovation, and technology. Our team works with the European Union Institutions, coordinating Technopolis Group’s contributions to flagship EU tenders and projects, while engaging with national and regional governments, industry associations, and public–private partnerships across Europe and beyond. We work with a wide range of EC DGs and other clients worldwide, applying evidence-based policy insights.
You will join a diverse, multilingual, and multidisciplinary team, working with colleagues in Brussels and across Technopolis Group’s global offices, driven by a passion for shaping evidence-based policies to guide Europe’s digital transformation.

Your profile
Applicants should meet the following requirements, demonstrating both qualitative and quantitative expertise.
* 5+ years’ experience in consultancy, think tanks, policy advisory, and/or EU-funded projects
* Relevant academic degree
* Deep knowledge of EU digital priorities, strategies and regulation
* Interest and knowledge of digital technologies, including AI, edge/cloud computing, connectivity, cybersecurity, chips/electronics, data and interoperability, quantum
* Demonstrated success in leading proposal development and securing funding or contracts
* Strong project management skills, including EU technical assistance and multi-stakeholder coordination
* Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams, client management, and proposal development
* Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
* Fluent in English; additional European languages advantageous
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with analytics and visualization tools
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
There are two profile paths: qualitative-focused and quantitative-focused. Details per profile are below.
* Qualitative-focused profile
o Proven track record in policy and programme design, evaluation, and impact assessment (Better Regulation Toolbox knowledge is an asset) in digital economy, emerging technologies, and the intersection with sustainability
o Advanced qualitative research methods (literature reviews, interviews, case studies, surveys, workshops)
* Quantitative-focused profile
o Proven track record in quantitative research methods (data analytics, advanced statistical analysis, modelling, indicators development)
o Expertise in economic impact assessment and cost-benefit analysis is a plus
Responsibilities
What you will work on:
* Provide digital policy/technology advisory services to EU Institutions, Agencies, and Bodies
* Contribute to engagements across multiple policy areas managed by DGs and Agencies
* Plan, coordinate, execute, and monitor advisory services from tender to delivery
* Facilitate business and technology transformations and relevant policy analysis
* Gather and analyse information and requirements to formulate technology- and strategy-based recommendations
* Deliver communication and outreach initiatives with stakeholder engagement
* Maintain close relationships with project stakeholders for sustainable success
* Collaborate with colleagues across Technopolis Group geographies and with external partners
* Lead business development activities, including preparing proposals for EU tenders
* Build and maintain client relationships to understand and address needs
* Guide and coach junior team members in project delivery and proposal preparation
* Attend events and webinars to stay updated on industry and technology trends
* Demonstrated ability to lead business development activities and prepare successful proposals
* Proven experience in digital policy advisory or consulting for public or private sector clients
* Strong understanding of digital technologies including AI, edge/cloud, connectivity, cybersecurity, chips/electronics, data/interoperability, quantum
* Experience managing complex projects across multiple stakeholders
* Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Strong collaboration skills across geographies and themes; mentoring experience is an advantage

o Coordinate and guide project and proposal teams
o Design methodological frameworks to address complex policy issues and anticipate future developments
o Represent the Group at industry events and webinars
* Business Development
o Identify and pursue new opportunities, including drafting bids for EU tenders
* Project Delivery
o Lead and contribute to projects of varying scale and complexity
o Undertake analytical and empirical work
o Produce reports and policy briefs for funders and policymakers
o Collaborate across cross-national teams and with external partners; work independently when required
