Purpose of the job
To ensure that the on-going Aircraft Maintenance Projects (Heavy Checks) in the hangar are performed in compliance with Safety, EASA Part-145 requirements and best practices to meet the contractual commitment with the Customers in term of Quality, Turnaround Time and Cost.
Key Accountabilities
 * Adhere with other departments to achieve the high-level objectives of safety, compliance, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
 * Contribute proactively to the preparation of the maintenance projects through early review and sequencing of the Work package tasks.
 * Supervise and control the day-to-day activities related to the on-going maintenance project to ensure:
 o Compliance with EASA Part-145 requirements and maintenance best practices
 o Working according to high level project planning prepared by the preparation department
 o Shift distributed workload (job cards) is matching the shift manpower capacity and the Check phases.
 o Through the Team Leaders, the adjustment of workload to avoid unproductive situations.
 o Trough the Team Leaders the correct sequencing of tasks taking in consideration the phases of the check and the on-going activities of different skills (avionics, cabin, sheet metal…)
 o Through the Team Leaders, task cards are performed according to approved data, required information are filled properly and signed/stamped in the correct boxes.
 o Findings are assessed in timely manner to determine as quick as possible the rectification options and to order required material/parts.
 o The continuity and the proper handover between different skills and shifts.
 o Timely manner escalation of critical issues with proposal of corrective actions to keep the progress of the checks within the planning objectives.
 o Continued improvement focus on safety, productivity and Turn Around Time.
 * Lead, develop and motivate his/her Team to improve competencies, encourage positive attitude and achieve better performances.
 * Other duties that maybe assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
 * Part 66 holder EASA Licensed Engineer with type rating on B737 CL and B737 minimum 10 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance or equivalent
 * Good knowledge and understanding of EASA Part-145 regulation and requirements
 * Good knowledge and understanding of SMS requirements
 * Analytical thinking to solve problems and achieve assigned objectives.
 * Leadership and coaching skills
 * Fluent English, both verbally and in writing
 * Fluent in Dutch or/and French (Optional)
 * Ability to legally work in the EU.
Experience:
 * Minimum 10 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance or equivalent
 * Minimum 5 years work experience in Heavy Maintenance
 * Minimum 3 years as a team leader
Contract type:
Full-time - permanent contract.
